Going Away - Short 'n' Sweet

Howdy everyone, gosh its such a lovely day here today. Too nice to be on the puter that's for sure. Well I have to start packing today as we go away on Tuesday to Surfers Paradise in Queensland Australia. I'm so looking forward to this holiday. We are doing it all 5 star so it has taken me nearly all year to save for it. We won't be back till the 12th November but I'm taking my laptop but I'll only have dial up :c( Very sad indeed. I hope to get a whole heap of photo's whilst we are away. We have a two day pass to dreamworld so there should be plenty of photo ops.
Finished my LO for PBP yesterday, wanna see:

New Kit for ON Designs

Hello again, well what do you know, 2 blog entries in a month, wooh hoo! Not bad I must say. Well it's the last day of school holidays today in NSW Aussieland (Australia...lol) and Octavi'a school things are all ready for a new term. I was hanging out the washing yesterday and Octavia stood on a bee. This was her first bee sting so I kept a close eye on her to make sure she didn't have a reaction. Everything seemed fine so we went to the shops to get her snacks for school. She stayed in the car with her sister and Nanna whilst I shopped. I came back out and Octavia had thrown up every where in the car. We cleaned it up as best we could and headed home. Ever since the bee sting she has been ill now, complaining of a tummy ache, sleeping alot and very quiet. You know she's sick when she's quiet. So I'm going to take her to the doctor's tomorrow just to have a check up, so she will miss the first day back to school. Poor thing. I'll keep you posted.
Ok, Nicole and Oliver have released yet another bright and funky kit No 9. Here's the previews:

and the paper pack, love the bright colors...

and here's a layout I did with the kit:

I love this photo of the girls. I took about 6 of them and I'll be using them to scrap some really cute layout's to come. I just love my kids to bits! They bring me such joy. Okey dokey, I'm off to go scrap. Hope all is well for everyone.

Busy, busy, busy

I know, it's been just over a month since my last entry. I've been busy, busy, busy. With Stand Up & Scrap, ON Designs guest CT & pumping out some new layout's, I just haven't had time to blog. We go on holidays for two weeks at the end of this month so I've been organizing that as well. With Jada's 2nd birthday on the 17th of this month and Mum being very ill for the last month, I haven't had time to scratch myself, let alone making any freebies. So sorry guys!
Ok, wanna see my latest LO for ON Designs:

Tid bits topped w/ new Layouts

Well hello sweeties, hope everyone is well and happy. As you can imagine, I have been rather busy playing with my new camera all week and I have some great shots to scrap with. The camera is amazing. It was so worth doing all that research on camera's to find the perfect one. It may not be a DSLR but I'm so happy with it.
So other than photography, I have been scrapping LO's mostly for my galleries. I'm yet to put up my little list of the galleries I have joined. I didn't want to go with too many as there are so many great shops out there. I'm with Pickleberry Pop, which is my fav as the girls are so so nice over there. Thats the first shop I started out scrapping with so thats where I hang my hat mostly. Ok, the first LO for LDD:

Papers, bitty brads, itsy bitsy alpha, knotted ribbon (recolored), square stitch, from Vintage Dream-Retro,
Flower, dirty-preppy circle stitch, photo alchemy, from August Grab Bag,
Button and jeans loop from color challenge freebie, all available at LDD.
Font used is La Bamba

I love the color combinations in this LO. What do you think? It was actually for the color challenge at LDD using blue's and brown's. Yummy! Here's another:

Kit used is Spring Break by Chris Turnbull at PBP.
Font used is La Bamba.

This one was using Chris Turnbull's newest kit over PBP. I also love the yummy colors in this kit called Spring Break. PBP have there first birthday sale on now with 30% store wide if you want to pick up a bargain or two. On another note, has everyone checked out the Stand Up & Scrap event. This is such a great cause. If you want to read more go to the official blog and check it out. The kit is amazing and all the designers who had there part in the making of it are some of the all time favourites. Can't wait to see all the different LO's made with this kit. It officially goes on sale at LDD on Monday for those of you who don't want to take part in the event. Well, I have out stayed my welcome seeing it's 2:45am in the morning. I wanted to make a start on a new LO but got side tracked as usual...lol. Better get to bed. Oh, HAPPY FATHERS DAY! Hope you have a good one (those of you in Aussie land, that is)

Signs of Spring w/ a new Layout

Sunday morning I opened my front door to have coffee in the front courtyard and the warm morning breeze wrapped itself around me and teased me with the scent of spring. It was the perfect day to get the camera out and capture the first signs of spring. Here is my favourite:
CREDITS: Frame from Grungy Polaroids by Bren Boone @ The Digi Shoppe

That evening, for the second night in a row, the scent of night jasmine filled the air. To me, this signals the end of winter and the beginning of all things new. A brand new season, new growth, blooms exploding to be warmed by the new warmth of the sun. Can you tell I love spring....lol.

As I stated in my last entry, I had my eye on some products at Weeds & Wildflowers. Well they have been purchased and here's my first layout:

CREDITS: Ribbons from Ocassions, recolored by Shabby Princess @ The Shabby Shoppe,
Papers from Wildcherry, by Micheline Martin @ The Digi Shoppe,
Material Flowers, Doodles, Wordstrip, Buttons, Staples, & Cardboard Heart, from Being Me, &
Cardboard Flowers, from Flower Frenzy,
both by Gina Marie Huff @ Weeds & Wildflowers,
Stitching from Triple Dipped Stitches by ChereKaye @ The Digi Chick,
Font used is TCG-Tiger by Kylie Clark Designs.
-Template for the layout is from august sketch challenge @ The Digi Shoppe-

I really liked the way this LO turned out. The layering of the papers and the colors which look much better at full res. I look forward to playing around with my purchases and seeing what else I can come up with.
Oh, I also purchased a new camera today, which I'm so excited about. The Canon Powershot S5 iS which boasts a
12x optical zoom at 8.0 Megapixel with so many other features that are far too many to name. Here's some pictures thanks to lets go digital:

Nice isn't it. I look forward to showing off some great shots. If anyone uses this camera and have any feedback, I would love to here. Or leave a link to some of your great shots and what camera you use. Would love to see. Well that's it for today. I hope to start something new in the next few days. It won't be a full kit this time (I can't promise that actually, we all know how I love making kits...lol) not sure what I may do, you'll just have to wait and see. Hope everyone is happy and well and as usual, thanks for all your lovely comments, can't get enough of them. It's so great to jump on line and read them. That reminds me I'll come and return some comments in the morning. Have to go study my camera book...lol! Biggest of hugs tonight as I'm really happy....

Little Dreamer Links

I decided to do another layout using the same kit as I used yesterday (see blog entry below this one) with a picture of my eldest DD Octavia. I just love the colors of this kit. Here's the layout:

Photo Transfer Effect by Something Blue Studio's,
Curled Border Action by Traci Murphy and template by Marci Reckinger.
Stitching by Natali at Blog Natali,
Photo prongs by Maria LaFrance,

We are doing much better now. Our horrid flu has passed and the sun is sort of shinning today and it's Friday, what more could you ask for. Ok, as promised, here are all the links to the 'Little Dreamer' kit. The first link is the same as the link I posted in yesterdays blog entry so if you already downloaded it yesterday, skip the first link, okay! Here we go:

Yes, it is quite a big kit. Over 200mbs but I really like this one, hope you all do too! I'm off to Weeds & Wildflowers to buy that kit I have had my eye on and then I'll return some comments from all you lovely girls. As always, share the love! See you all soon
